Mass Boat Inspections takes place annually in November.

A Certificate of Fitness (COF) will only be issued after the Safety Officer has inspected and passed your vessel for safety complience. Those who do not attend the mass boat inspections will incur a penalty!

Boat inspections for new and existing members are done by the Safety Officer on the first and third Wednesday of every month, by appointment only. It takes place at PEDSAC from 17h30 – 18h30.

New members are required to provide a Flotation Certificate and a valid Skippers Certificate of Competency (COC).

Local copies (might be outdated):

  • Catg A - Operating any distance from shore.
  • Catg B - Operating less than 40nm from shore.
  • Catg C - Operating less than 15nm from shore.
  • Catg D - Operating less than 5nm from shore.
  • Catg E - Operating less than 1nm from shore and 15nm from an approved launch site.
